In XEmacs 21.2 (beta35) "Nike" [Lucid] (i386-unknown-freebsd4.1) of Wed Jul 19 2000 on horsey.gshapiro.net configured using `configure --site-prefixes=/usr/local --with-database=berkdb --with-pop' Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: If the user has no ~/.xemacs/init.el{,c} nor ~/.emacs{,.el,.elc}, startup dies with: Signaling: (wrong-type-argument stringp nil) file-name-directory(nil) make-custom-file-name(nil) load-user-init-file() load-init-file() command-line() normal-top-level() load-user-init-file assumes find-user-init-file is going to return a filename.
