i have no clue. i wish you could find out; it doesn't happen for me.
my xemacs.exe is using 15 MB.
we do use more memory with the unicode tables, but that should only be
on the order of 1 MB.
i wrote a fun to show memory usage. update to the latest cvs and do
M-x show-memory-usage.
let me know if you see anything weird.

Scratch that...there is no infinite loop for me -- xemacs was just
using a LOT of memory (>60M), and was taking quite some time to start
gnus because of all the GC going on.
Why is the new xemacs using so much memory?
