For me it works on both instances of `load-path', but not on
`default-load-path'.
I think this is because `default-load-path' does not exist as a
variable.
Very odd. For me it doesn't work on either `load-path' or
`default-load-path'.
I tried running with -q and saw the same behaviour.
I've recently upgraded XFree to 3.3.5 and also gcc to 2.95.2. I
wonder if either of these changes are relevant.
