I agree. Making XEmacs a proper TextEditor KPART would be quite useful.
The only relevance of RMS opinion here seems to be that such code would
not end up in Emacs. The license is not a problem (except for Windows,
but XEmacs doesn't need to support Qt under Windows). It is unfortunate
that Emacs will not support some free software such as KDE, but it
shouldn't stop XEmacs from doing it IMHO.
Im totally with you....if Qt alone is such license-trouble well then maybe
with a native KDE xemacs that would be solved.....i had thought of a qt port
for those that like qt and doesnt like kde, personally i think it would be
awesome to have xemacs as the powerfull editor for KDE (no ofense mean to
Kate:) ) and i also agree with the point that xemacs doesnt need to support
qt under windows, xemacs is fine enought with the windows system
libraries....
A Xemacs KPart would be just great, and i dont see why the people of emacs
and rms couldnt support both GNOME and KDE too....
