No. As you note, the newer versions haven't been ported yet. The w3
maintainer is out to work :-P and has been for awhile, the ones you
point to are not his AFAIK but third party efforts.

Don't use math operators and units in the same size spec.
I'm not sure what you mean you...would you be willing to elaborate a bit? Are
you suggesting a potential fix to the w3 code that performs this, or...?
