You'd have to be more specific about what it is you think is
unsupported. AFAIK, customize has not changed much between 21.4 and
21.5. There was some change made to help deal with some defface
weirdness in GNU Emacs, but that's the only one I can recall.
Sorry about that. I did try it out with 21.4 way back when and it
wouldn't load. I'll try again, once I get a 21.4 build, and report back
on the issues I find.
