Please describe as succinctly as possible: - What happened. - What you thought should have happened. - Precisely what you were doing at the time. When building xemacs-21.4.12 on solaris 8, (using default configure options except "prefix"), and using the standard GUI toolkit. The xemacs builds and installs OK, but when launching it i get weird behaviour: File->Open File->save dialogs, or any other action involving pop-ups is failing, i see the pop-up showing and disappearing immediately, and i get the strange message on the mini-buffer: "value of function make-annotation is void" (the quote is not 100% accurate, but that's what it says....) i know of more people who tried to install xemacs 21.4.12 on solaris8 machines, and got the same behaviour. best regards avi
