Oh, I don't deny that it would be "some work" to port.
But _we're_ not likely to do it, because then we'd have another pile
of rapidly bitrotting code on our hands, whose author is decidedly
biased against cooperation with XEmacs. Better to spend the effort
updating AUC-TeX, IMO.
