It was mostly working, so Lynn> that's the version I want to go back to. the xemacs package bbdb-1.17 actually corresponds to bbdb version 2.32, so installing 1.17 will do what you want. The problem you were encountering earlier is fixed in the prerelease xemacs package bbdb-1.19 (also bbdb-2.32), so you might want to try that one out instead.
