I believe there are some readers of this mail list who were working on a
native port of XEmacs to Mac OS X. There is currently (as of this week) an
Aqua port of GNU Emacs (21.3.50.6). I wondered whether any of the folks
working on the XEmacs port had looked at it or examined the source to see if
any of it could help with porting XEmacs 21.5 to native Aqua OS X?
One real advantage I have seen is that the native port uses about 50MB less
of physical memory because XFree no longer needs to be loaded. The
disadvantage is that it is not XEmacs--a rather large disadvantage.
