I seem to have managed to commit from the wrong branch in my workspace, which is under control of git. I'm starting to like git a lot, but this time I managed to be too tricky for my own good. Besides building the workspace, I also eyeballed the diff against CVS of three days ago, and everything looks OK. My apologies to Jerry and Robert (honestly, your report looked like it might be caused by the Makefile dependency problem), and thanks for the reports.
