Where does that version (auctex-1.04) come from? Is it the XEmacs
package version number?
The 'font-latex.el' that I shipped was the same one that the upstream
AucTeX maintainer (Per Abrahamsen) shipped in his current release
version.
And I just checked the upstream CVS repository and discovered that
'font-latex.el' was updated to v.800 four days ago. I had packaged
auctex-1.29-pkg.tar.gz before then.

10.0g
BTW, you can find out this by:
M-x pui-list-packages
hit 'i' on the package you want info on (or place the mouse
cursor on it)
