I'm compiling 21.5.28 on an up-to-date AMD64 Gentoo system with
./configure --with-xemacs-compiler=g++
and I get this error:
g++ -c -Wall -Wno-switch -Wundef -Wsign-compare -Wno-char-subscripts
-Wpacked -Weffc++ -g -Demacs -I. -I/usr/local/src/xemacs-21.5.28/src -DHAVE_CONFIG_H
-I/usr/X11R6/include dired.c
sysdep.h:30: error: previous declaration of 'char** environ' with 'C++'
linkage
/usr/include/gentoo-multilib/amd64/unistd.h:496: error: conflicts with new declaration
with 'C' linkage
make[1]: *** [dired.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/xemacs-21.5.28/src'
make: *** [src] Error 2
Is this an XEmacs problem or a Gentoo problem?
