I'm sorry to come back with this at this point, but since Francois
Revel has expressed interest in desktop management for BeOS, I wonder
if `on-desktop' and `current-desktop' (note, no "x-"!) shouldn't be
implemented via frame and console methods. You should be able to call
them on anything that can be resolved to the appropriate object (eg,
frames and windows, but not buffers).
What do you think?
If you think it's a good idea but are unclear on the concept of object
methods in XEmacs, we can discuss how to accomplish this (both the
technical details and the work allocation).
