Andreas, I don't understand why the ;;;###autoload cookies in
regexp-opt.el are not getting into auto-autoloads.el. I checked the
timestamps of the auto-autoloads.el in your released xemacs-base
package of today, and it is freshly generated, but why the missing
entries? Time to debug your autoloads target? (I haven't looked at
the xemacs-packages makefiles)
By the way, I will submit a patch soon to fix the out-of-date
auto-autoloads.el in the XEmacs core.
