'ragged ?
The problem is that "ragged" normally applies to the text. If a face
has 'shrink true with (fill-paragraph 'justify) you will get a
"non-ragged" block of text in the current face with a right margin
(ie, past fill-column) in the default face.
To be technically accurate, we'd want to name it something like
do-not-spill-to-edge-of-window:-) but that's way too long.
How about "restricted" or "bounded" or "contained" (ie, by
the region
containing printing content) or something like that?
Or how about "shrinkwrap" (the buffer text)? "shrink-to-fit"? (Yes,
I'm getting silly, but even so those are probably better than anything
else I've suggested so far. :-/ And they're close to Didier's suggestion.)
