I don't see how that could be, since Thoralf apparently can't get
XEmacs to run nohow. I would think it's more likely related to the
new exec security stuff, in particular there's a setting:

(That's Valdis.Kletnieks(a)vt.edu, and he gave a fairly complete report
at some time in the past.)

(0) Tell us what you current "always" or "usually" do in terms of
communicating with XEmacs (both ways). I have a pretty good idea of
what Mike Fabian at SuSE and dres@debian do; it's not that you haven't
been a good citizen, but I have a much better sense of what surely
wouldn't have gotten by them without a report to XEmacs.
(1) If you need to patch XEmacs to get it to build or run, please
submit the patch even if you suspect we won't put it in the upstream
sources for some reason. (AFAIK you (Jens/Red Hat) do this, just
trying to think through what I would tell other maintainers.)
(2) If you need to specify or avoid particular configure options to
get XEmacs to build or run properly, please report that. We do get a
fair number of "first reports" that would be most easily diagnosed by
you; this would help a lot in narrowing those down.
Eventually I want to install a BTS; once that's done a gateway from
your Bugzilla to our BTS would be nice.
