dropdown menus much, so I hadn't noticed this problem. In any case, I
found that using a menu entry of "----" worked for me.
You have to change menu entries like the above in every single package
that uses easy-menu too.
Though Ben's change probably was the correct one I think that the old
behaviour was better.
