Normally /tmp (the typical place for the intermediate extraction) is
not under quote.
Of course one wonders why XEmacs is using external utilities anyway
:-) We already have tar-mode.el and libz linked in. Emacs never really
has been compatible with the unix small utils philosophy anyway.
