I'm interested in hearing, yes, but I don't have a Windows dev
environment at all right now, and know nothing about Windows or the
64-bit Cygwin, sorry. Maybe I could put together the dev env in early
February, but not until then.
Please do talk about it. I'm pretty sure Aidan still knows about
Cygwin but may never have used a 64-bit environment, Jerry may have
some contacts at RH that could help. And someday I'll remember enough
of the conversation (or monologue :-P) to be of some use to somebody.
Seconded, I’m interested in whatever you can manage with it.
I’ve actually been on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine with Cygwin since August; I
didn’t manage to get beta XEmacs compiling in that environment, and time
pressure for various projects meant that a Linux VMware image made more
sense for me. I’m back in .ie and will unpack my usual Mac Mini probably
this weekend, but am interested in having XEmacs continue to work on Cygwin.
I have regenerated *auto*-win32.c now and then since 2000, but the generated
files seemed to be less compatible, and the old ones were still compiling up
to beta 29 at least.
