This sounds like it could be related to making
`line-beginning-position' an alias for `point-at-bol'.
I tried (require 'jde-db) with JDE package version 1.38 and XEmacs
21.5.9 (+CVS-20021228) but didn't get the error. I don't use JDE. Is
there an easy way to reproduce it? Also, could you post a backtrace?
