Solaris and gcc 2.95.2?

Has anyone tried building XEmacs 21.2.3[89] or later with gcc 2.95 on Solaris? This used to work but I can't do it anymore. It compiles ok but when temacs tries to dump, I get an error message from ld.so about some number being an unknown section type. (More details available if necessary. I didn't save the precise message.) If I can get some help, perhaps I can help fix this problem, if it really is a problem. I currently have to build with either gcc 2.72.x or Sun C 5.0. Ray
