I don't understand the need for an XEmacs lisp client (*). As far as I
know, I can submit items to Roundup trackers via email. There is also web
submission for all reasonable candidate systems. Last time I looked XEmacs
supported sending email and browsing the web. That should be sufficient,
should it not?
I see no reason that the current XEmacs bug reporter interface can't simply
be modified to provide a little more structure to its submissions and direct
the mail it sends to bugs(a)xemacs.org (or similar).

Amen, brother. It sounds like some people here have tried this before and
failed. I can't believe how long it took the Python folks (all bright
people) to get the current Roundup-based system in place. That's why I
suggested reusing their work (+). Hell, get the ball rolling and start
using the SF tracker if nothing else (or Savannah or one of the other
trackers provided by various open source hosting sites). That would be
better than the status quo. If it proves deficient in some significant way,
then consider migrating to something more tailored to XEmacs's needs

(*) By "XEmacs lisp client" I assume you mean an API where XEmacs connects
directly to the tracker via some remote procedure call interface (XML-RPC or
SOAP).
(+) I send mail to tracker-discuss(a)python.org yesterday. The thread is
