Usually it's in CWD. Since you seem to have done cd /usr/local/bin, I
guess that's where you should be looking for it.
You probably don't have core files enabled. On systems supporting
ulimit (eg, is your command shell is bash), ulimit -c unlimited.

root is probably not authorized to connect to your X server.
We'll look into the crash, but if XEmacs finds an X server and is
refused connection, quitting is probably the right thing to do.
