AFAIR tracker showed me assign already to

Entering the tracker today displayed "Assigned to: - no
selection -".
Apparently the menu widget in the edit window can only display the
users in its list. So I have created a testuser without admin
privileges, and I found that both that user and the "admin" user *can*
assign to themselves but it doesn't show up in the "Editing" window,
only in an issue listing (eg, go to "Search" and enter 443 for ID,
then submit the query).
For some reason your user doesn't show up there, although history
shows the last setting to be to you. I wonder if you set "Assigned
To", then submitted, then set "Status=assigned"? I suppose that
setting status might have cleared the Assigned To field.
Anyway, there seem to be multiple related issues, and I'll be looking
at this later.
I will just give you the Developer role, so now you appear in the
assignable menu. I've assigned 443 to you to test, and it worked.
