I've used 'kill-sentence' a grand total of zero times and the
occasions where I've needed to kill a whole line and point hasn't been
at the beginning of the line, a quick C-a does the trick for me. Both
pinkies know where the Ctrl keys are so I can probably do C-a C-k
quicker than a lot of people could do C-k anyway.
I have no problem with your suggestion, Ben. Besides, it won't affect
me. :-)
