If you upgrade your X11 to the latest on macosforge (or wait a bit for
it to become part of a software update), I bet you won't be able to
compile at all. See my query earlier this week titled "Problem
compiling XEmacs 21.5 (beta29) with latest libpng (1.5)." It appears
that some of the code in glyphs-eimage.c relies on deprecated structures:

saw your message.
I normally try not to update things unless I have to. Whatever it was
that I installed unexpectedly pulled in a new libpng. I hate that.
