That refers to Adrian's bug. He's crashing every day. But I'm not seeing many other crash reports, so if you want the fixes in 21.4.4, it's worth a try (but Adrian's reports need to be treated seriously). There are a couple of important fixes for Windows in 21.4.4, but if you haven't noticed a need, I guess you don't have one. In general, if there's a major fix (crash, data corruption, security), we'll emphasize it and make a strong recommendation for upgrade. Everybody wants those. But because the Windows platform is still not fully mature, I accept somewhat riskier patches for that platform. So far AFAIK all the bad outcomes have been build problems. But the jury is still out on whether Adrian's problem was introduced by a recent patch or not. The bottom line is that for Unix platforms I generally recommend upgrading with each release. The only downside is the effort involved.
