Over time I use most email applications. I hate having to configure
each one of them with the same information. It should be sufficient
to configure this into my machine once.
i just stick with one less memory usage that way :)

For those users that use gnome, it would make things better. For
others, it wouldn't matter.
But I don't know how to extract the users' email address out of
gnome...
its probably something that gconf deals with if you want to do it
"properly" that is, otherwise it would live in ~/.gnome/ somewhere
