A number of bugs including a few crashes were fixed by 21.1.14, the
most recent in the 21.1 series. The 21.1 code base is now basically
retired. If you wish to continue with the 21.1 series, it's probably
a good idea to upgrade to 21.1.14. We do plan to maintain backward
compatibility in Lisp packages for some months to come, so you should
not have any problems with applications becoming incompatible, and in
general 21.1.14 is an extremely robust and stable application.
However, any problems that require further changes to the core code
will be addressed by advising you to upgrade to 21.4 (current
patchlevel, 21.4.10).
