Hello Alan --
Thanks for the mail! This has been addressed, thank you Mats Lidell, and a
build from
https://foss.heptapod.net/xemacs/xemacs should work. Please get
back if it doesn’t.
Best,
Aidan
Ar an naoú lá is fiche de mí na Nollaig, scríobh Alan Mackenzie:
 Hello, Aidan and Mike.

I tried to build XEmacs today, for the first time in a long while, and
 got informed that:

     sysdep.c: In function 'strsignal':
sysdep.c:3672:24: error: 'sys_siglist' undeclared (first use in this
function)
      3672 |       return (char *) (sys_siglist[signum]);

. Searching the web, I found the following on github:

https://github.com/greenbone/gvmd/issues/1279:

From the release notes of glibc 2.32,
https://sourceware.org/pipermail/libc-announce/2020/000029.html:

     The deprecated arrays sys_siglist, _sys_siglist, and sys_sigabbrev
are no longer available to newly linked binaries, and their declarations
have been removed from <string.h>. They are exported solely as
compatibility symbols to support old binaries. All programs should use
     strsignal instead.

Perhaps one of you might want to have a look at this.

And a happy new year to you both!
