I haven't seen the crash in a while, but that could be because of
changes in git.el or the support. I forget now. I think it's a good
sign, since I've been using git.el everyday since then without a
problem.

No, not yet. I don't get conflicts very often so I don't get a chance
to test. And when I do, I need to get the conflict fixed right away
so that I can continue do my work.
One enhancment that I would like to make is that git.el doesn't know
about tags in git. This is annoying when you do C-u C-x v = and then
you can't do tab completion when prompted for the old (and new)
version.
