Are you doing 'make bindist' on the entire tree or just a single
package?
In either case try doing (from the toplevel directory):
make distclean
make autoloads
Then try 'make bindist' from the toplevel directory if you wish to
build all packages, or from an individual package directory if you
just want to build a single package.
