x-symbol, vc, rcs and coding problems.

Hello Using Xemacs 21.5.32 Mule with (setq default-process-coding-system '(utf-8)) (set-coding-priority-list '(utf-8)) (set-coding-category-system 'utf-8 'utf-8) (setq default-network-coding-system '(utf-8 . utf-8)) From time to time, my latex files, which I use with x-symbol-mode and are under rcs version control, get their coding screwed up, like $[0,2?]$.
