Buffer tabs still flickering

The buffer tabs are still flickering when used with Gnus. Specifically, whenever I press SPC or DEL in the Summary buffer in order to scroll the current article by one page, the tabs flicker. Even if nothing really happen, as when I press DEL and I'm already at the beginning of the article. Is this a known bug that's supposed to be fixed, or does it happen only for me? P.S. Did I mention that it would be _really_ cool if the tabs could somehow respect the background pixmap? The gutter looks very ugly when the rest of the frame is pixmapized.
