21.5 Test Suite Failures

Hi Folks! Recent discussion on this list about the test suite has prompted me to finally get around to trying to get something done about the 'make check' failures for 21.5. Any test in the test suite that doesn't pass 100% looks *BAD*. And makes people feel uneasy about using the software. Things like "Known Bug" are just as bad IMO, "Expected Failure" isn't that much better. My predecessor's predecessor had a "zero tolerance" policy in regard to test suite failures. Such a policy can only benefit the XEmacs project, there just isn't a down side. So I'll be adopting the same zero tolerance for test suite failures for XEmacs 21.5. Please consider this a general call for volunteers to help track down and fix the bugs that are causing the test failures. I'll post more specific details of each group of failures shortly.
