i have not used calc with XEmacs for some months, so i don't know when
this happened, but now calc has problems with symbolic integration
(and who knows what else...)
i use also emacs 18.59, exclusively for calc, so that i can attach a
(relatively) short image that displays calc in xemacs and in emacs
you see the result of evaluating the indefinite integral of sin(t)
exp(t) dt
xemacs fails to compute the answer, and shows a nice ascii art of an
integral, while emacs has the correct answer against a paper&pencil
integration by parts, and also against abramowitz and stegun
note that all the user settings are the same for the two instances of
calc, and that i had the same failure in calculating the integral also
(not documented by images) in a xemacs -vanilla frame
