The Closed Group's version of X11 is no longer free, but XFree86 is
committed to keeping a free version of X11.[1] I've been in contact with
them on this issue and I have no reason to mistrust them.
I think it's important that we back the XFree86 folks rather than run
off and fork a whole new distribution.
