Question about pulling files from repository

I use CVS to get the latest sources for XEmacs beta. Do I need to switch to 'hg' to continue getting the latest sources? If so what do I need to change about my local CVS collection and what commands would I use? I checked the XEmacs web page about staying up to date, but it refers only to CVS.
