Hello Sabine, do you want a stable XEmacs, but without Mule?
I use XEmacs 21.4.13 since Sept. 2002, especially for Gnus.
Then choose

If you need Mule and can accept beta quality software (taking extra
pre-caution from your end not to lose and critical data), the go with
http://list-archive.xemacs.org/xemacs-beta/200603/msg00225.html
Both versions create a problem with gnuserv:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (file-error "Searching for program" "No such
file or directory" "gnuserv")
start-process-internal("gnuserv" nil "gnuserv")
apply(start-process-internal "gnuserv" nil "gnuserv" nil)
start-process("gnuserv" nil "gnuserv")
gnuserv-start-1(nil)
gnuserv-start(nil)
call-interactively(gnuserv-start)
command-execute(gnuserv-start t)
execute-extended-command(nil)
call-interactively(execute-extended-command)

Sabine, the "Ausgefürht in:" or "Start in:" property of Windows
shortcuts does not have any agreed upon standards to follow, AFAIK.
In your example you use values that only make sense for German region
settings.
OK
A good default value would be %HOME% but that requires the user to
set it.
I have set the default-directory in my init.el now.
