Some additional information....
I happened to have an old Linux build from Oct 24 2007. Not sure
exactly what version, but when I run that version and close the window
via the window manager, xemacs doesn't crash. But I rebuilt the
current code (same cvs/hg version as used for these reports), I also
get a crash. (In case it matters, the display is still to my Sun box.)
I guess that tells us that something changed between Oct 2007 and
now. Of course, that was almost a year ago, so this might not be
particularly helpful, but at least we know that this crash is
something relatively new.
