Dear Bug Team!
I've just realized that the list of tabs between the toolbar and
document text is not there any more (apparently since I've "upgraded"
XEmacs from CVS). Well, I guess I haven't really used them so much...

This is very strange. I have noticed this for a while on my system at work,
but I have the gutter here at home on a 17 March build from CVS. I figured
it was something in my configuration, or selections for ./configure which had
caused this. I'm running the same version of SuSE 7.3 with just about the
same patch levels. I actually created a test account at work and found that
it, too, is missing the gutter. I didn't report this because it works at
home, and I figured I was doing something wrong.
