I have just added the following packages to the

New Packages in Pre-Release:

gnus-1.71-pkg.tar.gz
gnus-1.71

2003-05-18 Norbert Koch <viteno(a)xemacs.org>
* Makefile (VERSION): XEmacs package 1.71 released.
2003-05-18 Vin Shelton <acs(a)xemacs.org>
* Makefile (REQUIRES): Add sasl.
Would it totally ruin your day if I asked pretty-please that someplace
you mention what the upstream version number is, even if unchanged?
I have this sinking feeling that gnus-1.72 will come out for gnus 5.12,
and when I see the announcement for -1.73, it won't click that I should
have bothered installing the upgrade (I have to admit I'm probably not going
to install -1.71 to pick up SASL support when we have absolutely zero use of
it at our site, so if I hadn't been beaten over the head with the fact that
gnus-1.mumble corresponds to upstream major release 5.11, I'd totally miss
the boat on upgrading..)

happen to come out. ;)
