Some of us (like me) subscribe to xemacs-beta, but not -patches.
It's OK to post patches to xemacs-beta, if you want the beta community
to review them. If the developer doesn't consider the patch
controversial or interesting, he can just mail it to xemacs-patches,
where it should get the reviewers' attention and a stamp of approval
or veto.
As an alternative, may I suggest this: The Enlightenment crew has a
daily/weekly 'cvs commits' mailing list, that automagically mails
all interested subscribers a summary of recent activity.
