You really need to be much more specific than that. For most folks,
Dired works just fine.
For starters, you should do an M-x dired-report-bug which will create
a blank bug report directed to the correct address. A copy of a
buffer where you're having the problem would also help.
My guess is that it's a locale problem. Are the month names in your
directory listing German by any chance?
