Andy Piper apparently lives in JDE; surely he would have noticed. I
know he's submitted a few patches recently. Are you up-to-date on JDE
and other packages (possibly requires the pre-releases)? Your
environment may be different from his; who knows?
Please give a full bug report: M-x report-emacs-bug; Emacs behavior is
generated by an incredibly incestuous network of related packages.
Without information on versions of all of them, and other information
about your build, it's hard to localize what's going on.
Jin> First there was the infinite lazy-lock fontifying hang
This may have to do with changes to the matching code, which has been
broken by design for ages. It's quite possible that JDE depends on
the breakage.
Please submit a full bug report with test data if possible. (And no,
I do not do java so I don't have any around at the moment; minimal
cases are also appreciated, especially if you can come up with "this
works for me, this does not" pairs involving minimal changes to the
test data.)
