Absolutely. Speaking for myself I am much more likely to contribute new
code because it interests me or because without it my day-to-day work is
impacted, rather than because of any priority list. Absolutely selfish of
course - but it is my time to do with as I wish. Trying to impose
priorities is as likely to put people off as it is to make them contribute.
