When I try to 'make autoloads' in the latest auctex in my non-mule
XEmacs, I get the following error:
xemacs -vanilla -batch \
-eval "(setq autoload-package-name \"auctex\")" \
-l autoload -f batch-update-directory .

OK, I just built a mule XEmacs, and with that I could successfully
complete 'make autoloads' in auctex. So auctex now has a dependency
on a mule XEmacs, and for a non-mule package, that's a no-no.
