crypt and decoding gzipped files

Hi, Anybody having problems with decoding gzipped files under xemacs-21.0-b57? I'm running xemacs under solaris 2.5.1 and redhat 5.1 and I'm getting errors with both of them. Under solaris I get this error: gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file It doesn't gunzip the file. Under linux I get this error: stty: standard input: Inappropriate ioctl for device It gunzips the file but the text is kinda garbled. Crypt runs fine under xemacs-20.4 in solaris and linux.
