Mule-base 1.53 had
(defalias 'truncate-string 'truncate-string-to-width)
While version 1.56 has dropped it.
It turns out that list-registers uses this function (I thing Mats
even
included list-registers in one of our packages)
So I propose to add this alias again.
It seems like GNU (version 24.*) doesn't have truncate-string so I
suggest that we don't introduce it but rather change affected code to
use truncate-string-to-width instead. Maybe that was the reason of
dropping it from mule-base!?
